Morrison Johnny, Program Manager, Employment Services & Social Services
Morrison Johnny was born in Burma in 1972. Morrison graduated high school and attended college in Myaung Mya. After college, Morrison moved to the border of Thailand and Burma to work with media outlets covering the events on the Thai-Burmese border. In addition to working with media outlets, Morrison worked with various non-governmental organizations (NGO’s) in 2000 to evacuate refugees from the dangerous locations in Burma. Morrison also worked as a teacher on the Thai-Burmese border. Morrison and his family came to the United States in 2004 as refugees. After his arrival, Morrison worked as a social services provider and youth counselor at Vietnamese Social Services Currently, Morrison is the Program Manager for Employment and Social Services at the Karen Organization of Minnesota. He lives in Saint Paul with his wife, three sons and one daughter.
